NBDS 2012 Tickets

The Nebraska Bellydance Spectacular showcase is March 3, 2012. The show begins at 8:00 pm at Scott Recital Hall in the Holland Performing Arts Center, Omaha, NE. Tickets are available online through TicketOmaha. You can also order a reasonably priced meal at the same time, and the Desert Sampler Platter looks delicious!

Shira's American Oriental Belly Dance Workshop

Save the date for Saturday, March 24, 2012. Shira is coming to Sioux City, IA! The workshop will focus on American Oriental BellyDance, which was popular in the United Stated during the 1960-70s. Topics include: finger cymbals, American Oriental for restaurants and parties, and improvising solo performances. The class will begin at 10:30 am at the Yoga College, 520 Nebraska Street, Sioux City. Cost is $85, but register by February 28^th for a $10 discount! Norfolk Belly Dance

Connie Reynolds teaches belly dance in Norfolk, NE in addition to Sioux City, IA. Belly dance classes are on Tuesdays at 6:45 pm. The session begins January 24 and ends February 28. Shimmy Mob

Celebrate World Belly Dance Day in Sioux Falls, SD this year by participating in Shimmy Mob. Dancers are needed to make this event a success. Cost is $35, and proceeds go toward women’s and children’s shelters. Participants will learn a belly dance choreography and get a t-shirt to wear on May 12^th. Raqs Amore 2012

On Saturday, February 18^th, Raqs Awn Belly Dance Collective will present their annual Raqs Amore show at the Pizza Shoppe Collective in Omaha, NE. The performance begins at 7:30, but get there by 7:00 to get a good seat. Proceeds go to ALS in the Heartland. Visit the Raqs Awn website for more information.
